Blacktronners, today I turn 47, but I want to break protocol and be the one giving you a gift.

Back on February 6th, 2025, when I decided to move our merchandising store — which had already been giving us plenty of trouble — to a new and highly recommended host with much more visibility, I truly believed it would benefit us.
Well… I was wrong.

Things are not going well. This year (2026) we’ve made only four sales, and not even the 25% discount I launched at the end of last month helped. So this morning, I realized something had to change. I never created the Blacktron Space Force Shop to make a profit — I created it to showcase my LEGO designs to a wider audience. And when the site gets 328 visitors and only four sales, it’s clear that something is seriously off.

I thought: maybe the problem is my designs — nobody is obligated to like them. Or maybe it’s because I restricted myself to the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). And let’s be honest: times are rough, wars everywhere, prices skyrocketing like never before, and just look at the absurd prices LEGO is charging nowadays to understand what I mean.

So I flipped the script. I took the website down this morning and spent the day adjusting the prices of all items to values I feel comfortable with. Yes, lowering the prices means I have to cancel all existing promotions, including reducing the members’ discount from 20% to 10%. And yes, I will probably lose money with this move — but I honestly don’t care. My goal has always been to reach more people with my work and to promote our great community. And that’s exactly what I intend to keep doing.
